Adoptive Parent Support Group of Teens
This eight-session, bi-weekly support group is designed for parents raising adopted teens. Participants will receive practical tools, emotional support, and a welcoming community to help navigate the unique challenges of adoption. Share experiences, gain insights, and build confidence in responding to your teen’s needs with understanding and compassion.
Making Sense of Your Past Worth for Teens
An 8-week workshop that can help your teen discover the freedom that comes from living in positive self-worth and secure attachment. Self-Worth is the foundation of who we are as human beings and plays a role in every decision we make and every relationship we have. Your teen will follow a step-by-step process of gaining positive self-worth created by Cindy R. Lee, LCSW in partnership with HALO Project International. Past participants in the program show an increase in positive self-worth upon completion.
Adoptive Parent Support Group of 8-12 YO’s
This eight-session, bi-weekly support group is designed for parents raising adopted children ages 8-12 years. Participants will receive practical tools, emotional support, and a welcoming community to help navigate the unique challenges of adoption. Share experiences, gain insights, and build confidence in responding to your child’s needs with understanding and compassion.
HALO Program (8-12 yrs)
The HALO program is a 10-week counseling intensive for foster and adoptive children, ages 5-18, and their families. Designed to meet the emotional needs of the child, the program includes weekly family therapy sesssions, a parent education class (TEC), and Kids Club. Families learn connection skills through game-based activities using therapuetic approaches like TBRI, PCIT, and IFS. Families get over 50+ hours of specialized therapy and therapuetic programs designed for adoptive families. The HALO Program was created by Cindy R. Lee, LCSW in partnership with HALO Project International.
Slots are limited to six families per cohort with one adopted child or teen per family per cohort. Waitlist members will receive early access to registration, including special rates. Join the waitlist for 2026 programs. Registration opens January 7, 2026 - we’ll notify you first! If this workshop is full, you will be waitlisted to the next available date.
Program begins September 8, 2026. Each program component runs on different days (therapy session, Kids Club, and TEC) in New Kitisuru (Nairobi).
What You Get:
Over 50+ hours of specialized therapy and therapuetic programs designed for adoptive families.
Weekly, in-person family therapy sessions designed to reinforce content gained in TEC and Kids Club. Sessions can be scheduled on Saturdays or Sundays.
Weekly 2-hour TEC class with other adoptive parents (Weekday TBD.)
Weekly 2-hour Kids Club (for children ages 8-12 years). (Weekday TBD.)
Light refreshments included during TEC and Kids Club.

Donor Meet-Ups
Join our weekly 1-hour virtual meet-ups every Thursday through December 2025 to meet the founder, learn about our work, and connect with guests. Times alternate bi-weekly, each with its own Zoom link. Invite 2-3 friends to keep the ripple going!

Adult Adoptee Meet-Up
You asked for it and we heard you! We’re hosting an adult adoptee-only virtual meet-up!
Whether you’re a diaspora Kenyan adoptee or an adoptee living in Kenya, this space is for you. Adoptees of all races, nationalities, and placement types are welcome to join. The only requirement is that you’re either living in Kenya or a Kenyan adoptee living in the diaspora. Come connect, share, and build community together—DM us for the Zoom link!
