The Care You Deserve

Adoptee work is our niche. As adoptees, we know that fellow adoptees and adoptive families need specialized care to build connection.

The Adoptee Collective is a therapuetic practice offering offering trauma-informed therapy, creating connected spaces for our foster and adoption community, and providing grounded care that honors the full story for adoptees, foster individuals, and families. This is where you can find care that actually heals.

The Halo Program

The Halo Program is a 10-week intensive counseling program for foster and adoptive children and their families, ages 5-18. The program is designed to meet the emotional needs of the child in order to achieve healing from emotional trauma. Families reach a state of healing and no longer need access to further mental health services. (Halo Project website).

We are currently not taking clients for Halo, but plan to beginning January 2026.

Group Therapy

Adult adoptees, adopteens, and pre-teens can come together for 12-weeks to share, heal, and grow through guided connection with other adoptees facing similar experiences.

We are currently not taking clients for therapy groups, but plan to beginning January 2026.

Workshops

Trauma education classes and workshops like the TBRI® Caregiver Package, “Helping Your Child Tell Their Story, The History of Adoption, or Through Our Eyes: Adoptee Perspectives on Adoption” can foster personal growth, deepen adoption competency, and center adoptee perspectives. Book virtually or in-person for your specific needs.

“Giving our kids a tool to help them create their life story has granted them freedom and control they didn’t necessarily have before. Helping us see how we can come alongside them to be a loving truth teller gave us the vantage point we need as adoptive/foster parents. This training was superb for any caregiver, no matter where you are in the journey!”

“Our group benefited greatly from Heather’s insights throughout this adoption education training. So thankful for the personal touches she put on this topic, as that made it more relevant to our families in the trenches. She was awesome! Best kickoff for our adoption support group! ”
