While the intervention is based on years of attachment, sensory processing, and neuroscience research, the heartbeat of TBRI™ is connection. ”

Creating trauma informed safe spaces in homes, schools, and churches
Growing as a system to better support adoptees and foster children

Moving to dissolving the power struggle and triangulation of the “adoption triad” where the adoptee always loses
Learning the historical context whereby children were marginalized and treated as commodities
Becoming proficient on adoptee centeredness
CULTURAL HUMILITY
Being challenged to important work before considering a transracial adoption
Becoming better equipped OR
Identifying the inability to proceed
Learning better informed responses to those from transracial adoptions and culturally contextualized responses to people in general.
These CEU group trainings are now available for booking virtually or in person in the DFW, Texas area.
We are continually developing new courses, and we are able to build a customized training for specific needs.
Current Training Library
1-hour (1.0 CEU) course: covers the basics of how trauma impacts the child, along with an introduction for strategies in offering care. Becoming Trauma Informed is the perfect training to equip volunteers and staff in churches or schools.
1-hour (1.0 CEU) course: equips parents and caregivers for broaching the hard topics and complex parts of the child’s history, using the interactive tool of the My Story Book: My Life Story by Me and for Me. This is an introduction to how narrative therapy can bring healing.
